Dumplings

  1. Chicken Filling

½ cup green onion, chopped

1 tbsp tender coriander stems chopped

Salt to taste

1 tbsp green chili

1 tsp white pepper

1 tsp soy sauce

1 tbsp garlic, minced

1 tbsp ginger, minced

1 tsp sesame seeds

300 gms chicken minced

(You can also add finely chopped vegetables like carrot, bell pepper, cabbage)

Ingredients - Dough

2 cup(s) of all purpose flour and additional dusting flour

2/3rd cup(s) water (little more or less depends on humidity level)

 

Directions

  1. Knead the dough using refined flour and salt. Dough has to be semi soft. Keep aside to rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile to make fillings in a mixing bowl add all the ingredients and mix well.
  3. Once the dough has finished resting, lightly flour a work surface, and roll out the dough into medium size thin disk. Stuff the filling into it, give the desired shape to dumpling and keep aside. Roll your palms with little oil and gently make small balls from the mixed dough (Use an ice-cream scooper or spoon to have uniform measurement or use a falafel maker) 
  4. Steam the dumplings for 15 minutes in the steamer; if using instapot, please do it for 3 minutes
